Note: You will need a new 9V battery and flathead screwdriver.

Steps to change the battery:

If the lockbox has any power left:

  1. Enter the door code to open the key compartment door

  2. Use the flathead screwdriver to remove the battery cover

  3. Replace the 9V battery behind the cover

  4. Fasten the screw back in place, securing the battery cover

If the lockbox has no power:

  1. Look on the bottom of the lockbox to find the battery port

  2. Hold the 9V battery to the port to give the lockbox enough power for the screen to turn on

  3. Enter your code to open the key compartment door

  4. Use the flathead screwdriver to remove the battery cover

  5. Replace the 9V battery behind the cover

  6. Fasten the screw back in place, securing the battery cover

The video below shows you how this works, step by step.

Note: We recommend using lithium ion instead of alkaline batteries as they last longer and hold up better in extreme temperatures.
