IMPORTANT:

  • SentriLock Generation 3 lockboxes require an adapter for battery replacement when the current batteries are too low to power the door open to replace the batteries inside. Battery Adapters are NOT needed for SentriGuard Generation 4 lockboxes.

  • We are unable to provide a free battery adaptor kit, even if your SentriLock lockbox is under warranty. If you need to purchase a battery adaptor kit, please contact our Tenant Turner Support Team.

  • We highly recommend purchasing a battery adapter or two to have on hand in case your SentriLock Generation 3 lockbox stops working due to low batteries.

  • Each SentriLock lockbox battery adapter costs $20.

  • Battery adapters are required for SentriLock Generation 3 lockbox troubleshooting when requesting a warranty replacement.

How to replace the batteries using the battery adapter:

  1. Insert two new batteries into the external battery adapter.

  2. Insert the external battery adapter into the battery port on the side of the lockbox (behind the rubber plug).

  3. Reset the internal lockbox clock by entering a Cardless Clock Code (if the batteries were low, the clock may be incorrect). To generate a Cardless Clock Code:

    1. Navigate to the SentriLock Access page of your account.

    2. Click "Get Code" under the appropriate serial number.

    3. Select "Cardless Clock Code" as the Code Type

    4. Click "Get Code" to generate the Cardless Clock Code.

    5. Follow instructions displayed to enter the code on the lockbox

  4. Generate a one-time door code for the given serial number within your account.

    1. Navigate to the SentriLock Access page of your account.

    2. Click "Get Code" under the appropriate serial number.

    3. Select "One-time Code" as the Code Type

    4. Click "Get Code" to generate the one-time door code

  5. Enter the door code into the lockbox to open the key compartment door.

  6. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to unscrew the screws holding the battery cover plate. Be careful to not lose the screws or drop them in the lockbox. (A tool is included with the external battery adapter kit.)

  7. Remove the old batteries and replace them with the two batteries in the external battery adapter.

  8. Replace the battery cover plate and tighten the screws.

  9. Remove the external battery adapter and replace the rubber plug covering the battery port.

  10. Reset the internal lockbox clock by entering a Cardless Clock Code (removing the batteries causes the lockbox to lose the correct time). Reference step 3 for instructions on generating the Cardless Clock Code.

Your battery adaptor shipment includes the following:

  • External battery adapter

  • Multi-tool to open battery compartment

  • Instruction booklet

It does not include batteries. You may purchase additional batteries through Amazon here.
